Sun Dog Energy (SDE) is partnered with Burdick Technologies Unlimited, LLC. (BTU) and our team is committed to providing technical services that benefit our clients and promote a sustainable future with regard to our energy consumption. Our experience and expertise has allowed us to successfully install numerous Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) systems throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
The team principals, Gary Rust of SDE and Joe Burdick of BTU, offer years of combined technical experience. SDE is located in Poncha Springs in Colorado's south central mountain region and BTU operates out of Lakewood, Colorado west of Denver.
Gary Rust has over 15 years of professional experience in environmental consulting and has gained expertise in remote sensing/image analysis, geographic information systems (GIS), environmental media sampling/remediation programs, geodetic surveying, and solar electric system design and installation.
Education:
B.A. Geography/General Science, University of Colorado, Denver.
Joe Burdick has over 20 years of professional experience including positions with Bekaert ECD Solar Systems LLC
(producer of UNI-SOLAR products) and NREL as a research scientist. He has unmatched PV/BIPV system design and field installation experience.
Education:
B.S. Physics/General Science, Hobart and Wm. Smith Colleges.
M.S. Physics, Purdue University.
M.S. Materials Science/Engineering. Washington State University.
Geoffrey Campbell is a senior engineer with experience on many projects
associated with alternative energy and solar applications. Notable products are:
Denver's RTD 16th Street Mall Shuttle Bus, the first successful low-floor
hybrid-electric design; solar powered remote data collectors and weather
stations for USGS, NOAA, etc. A recent project focused on the emission effects
of gaseous Hydrogen added to various blends of diesel in a fleet vehicle.
He serves as the instrumentation designer for large system projects.
